Kjetil Husebø – Contours of Texture

My new album Contours of Texture is out now.

Contours of Texture emerged from a deeply personal period of loss and change. I wanted to create music that could hold beauty, light, darkness and vulnerability, while maintaining a sense of resistance and instability.

Built from synthesizers, samplers, electronics, and layered sound processes, the album explores texture, resonance, and gradual transformation. Granular detail, subtle micro-movements, microtonal shifts, and drifting harmonic centres create a sound world in constant motion, where nothing remains entirely fixed.

Throughout the album, synthetic textures intermingle with acoustic and orchestral sensibilities. Electronic sound is shaped to feel organic and breathing, while harmonic gestures evoke strings, resonant bodies, and distant instrumental traces.
